Barb Matheson has worked in entertainment since 2001 and in the film industry for the last 9 years.  She began her career with CHUM Television working on programming publicity for Citytv, Star! (now E! Canada) and later corporate communications for CHUM's radio & television properties.  Her dream of working in film came to fruition in 2006 when she became director of publicity at Odeon Films and later director of publicity & communications at Eone Films.  She has been with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada for the last six years as director of publicity where she leads all aspects of the publicity campaigns for the theatrical & DVD releases of Walt Disney Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks live action and Marvel Studios films in Canada.  She also oversees social media content efforts for Walt Disney Studios' Canadian social accounts.  She's been a proud member of the Canadian Picture Pioneers since 2006 and is thrilled to be a committee member for Pioneering Women.
