The people behind the scenes...

Pioneering Women was founded in late 2010 by film industry veterans Susan Smythe-Bishop and Sarah Brown. Our events and initiatives would not be possible without the support of a fabulous committee consisting of wonderful women who either currently work in or have worked in the Canadian Film Industry.  We also want to introduce you to other incredible people who have volunteered their time and talent to help us to grow.  The amazing and talented Anthony Sacco, National Operations Manager for Inspired Image has filmed our most recent events for us;  and the equally amazing and talented team of women at Extreme Reach headed up by Silvia Murday, have worked hard to edit that footage and make it flow so well.  Lyndsey Loiacono is the graphic artist behind our logo and event marketing materials, so without her artistic help, we would be hardpressed to communicate with you!  We absolutely must thank Michael Kennedy and his team at Cineplex Entertainment along with their theatre staff for their ongoing support.  Please take a moment and scroll down here to meet our team!
