Susan Smythe-Bishop

Susan Smythe-Bishop is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Pioneering Women, an association she founded with Sarah Necoloff in late 2010.  Currently working as the VP of Promotions for Touchwood PR, she is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with over 20 years of experience working in the Canadian film industry.  Prior to joining Touchwood PR, Susan worked for three years at Maple Pictures and for 15 years before that with Alliance Films where she started as a publicity and promotions coordinator and worked her way up to SVP, Publicity and Promotions.  Susan has been a proud member of the Canadian Picture Pioneers since 2000;  is an award-winning cake designer, and recently started her own illustrated blog called The Accidental Vice President that chronicles observations of her own experiences working in film for most of her adult life!
